About the Artist

Hi! I'm Ruby.
I’m a mom of four (plus a big dog named Mabel) based out of Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada. This region is rich in history, and I am fascinated by the past and how it's infused into buildings and architecture. This has always inspired my artwork. I love to daydream about how the homes in this region have evolved and grown from their original construction, and dive deeply into the archives of my town.

Painting has always been a form of documentation for me, whether a self-portrait, a collage or a house painting. Creating art and sharing it is my greatest passion and joy.
